Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow

My dear girlie girls, this will be my last post. I have really enjoyed writing on this blog. It has been my little escape where I could put my serious, girlie girl thoughts into words and share them with you. I have loved sharing with you my love for Jesus, the things that I stand for and my love for beautiful fashion and running. I hope that I have encouraged you in your walk as a Christian. I hope that you have been able to relate to me and know that there is another serious girly girl out there who is striving to live a life pleasing to Jesus, unapologetic about God's will for her life, and who loves to laugh and who loves to talk about fashion, running, chocolate and growing older gracefully and joyfully. I am going to miss writing in this little blog but it is time to end this chapter of my life. I love you girlie girls. Fight the good fight of faith and enjoy the little things in life.

Love,
Your anonymous kindred spirit (If you've seen or read Anne of Green Gables, you know what I mean - and if you haven't you won't regret watching it or reading it).

P.S. I won't be taking the blog down, because I want to go back and read the posts to encourage myself :).

A Decade of Bad Hairdos

I think the 80's was a decade of awful haircuts that required lots of hairspray, mousse, and bad perms.  I was watching Murder, She Wrote which mostly focused on upper class characters and I couldn't believe to what hairdos they've subjected themselves. The 80's made me appreciate today's hairstyles so much more, they were so much more elegant and feminine.  Today's hairstyles required little maintenance and mousse was optional. My eyes hurt everytime I saw another version of hairdos on Murder, She Wrote, whether it was on men or women. What were they thinking in the 80's? The fact that the 80's fashion was coming back I was worried that those awful haircuts were coming back.  I hope we had learned our lesson! Yikes.
